The pleasure of eating means so much more than just nourishing yourself. It connects people. The kitchen is a social place with daily rituals. The decision of todays dinner, grocery shopping, preparing and cooking with love – it all brings people together. To eat is to live but it should be other way around; we live to eat.
To sit around a table and eating with others is a social thing. There we are creating human relations, bringing people together. We talk, listen, laugh, cry, entertain. The kitchen is the hub of the home; the room in a house that is mostly chosen the favorite one. It´s home & delicious. 

I think it´s really apropriate that the first post on my blog regarding the foodie part starts with some sweets. This recipie is always truly delicious as good food at home should be.

brown and white choco brownies

250 g butter
250 g dark chocolate
240 g caster sugar
3 eggs
225 g flour
2 tsp baking soda
200 g white chocolate, roughly chopped

Preheat oven to 180°C. Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a saucepan over low heat and stir until smooth. Wisk together eggs and sugar until light, thick and airy. Fold the chocolate mixture through the egg mixture while beating slowly. Then the flour and baking soda. Finally comes the white chocolate. Pour into greased and lined square cake tin, 23 cm. The tin can not be bigger as the cake will then be too thin and not as good. Bake for 25-30 minutes, but take really good care not baking it for too long. The brownies should be set and soft. Let it cool before serving and cut into squares. Dust with icing sugar or cocoa.
