The colourful company Pantone has the tradition to choose the colour of the year. Since 2000 they have done this with careful consideration and Pantone combs the world looking for colour influences. The colour of 2014 is Radiant Orchid. It intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It's an invitation to innovation, encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today's society as the say at Pantone.
Last year it was the colour emerald green and it got a lot of attention. Radiant orchid isn't as easy to use in many cases but as the colour palette shows it has beautiful hues. For interiors you can more think of it as an accent in a room in accessories and pieces and combine it with turquoise, teal and light yellows as are recommended at Pantone. This vibrant colour is nice to liven up neutrals and against grey backdrop it's uplifting and bold without being overpowering. Following are images to show some samples in interiors.
