Idea of a pasta dish to cook this weekend. We had it during the Easter holiday and made our own pasta. That's not necessary at all, just by one you really like but preferably fresh. In the pasta sauce we use an Icelandic pepper-cheese and you can use instead some kind of cream cheese with pepper or mascarpone and add the pepper. Bon Appetit! 400-500 gr pasta of your choice, preferably fresh (100-120 gr pr person)
1 dl pasta cooking water
180-200 g cream cheese, mascarpone or some peppery cheesy of your choice
2-3 dl cream
Salt and pepper
10-12 bacon slices, cooked and cut in small pieces
3 dl green peas
Grated parmesan

Melt the cheese in the cream over medium heat. Stir to combine until smooth finish. Taste with salt and pepper and add a bit more of pepper than you're used to as it's supposed to have a peppery taste. (if you're not using some kind of pepper-cheese).
Boil the pasta until al dente, keep 1 dl of the cooking water. Don't let the pasta get too dry in the colander. Mix the pasta and the sauce, add the cooking water, not all of it if the sauce has good consistency. Add the bacon pieces and the peas. Mix well but gently.
Serve with parmesan and some bread of your choice if you want to. Bon Appetit!

The recipe is for four persons
