INTERIORS I ROOMS
...making the lay-out of your living room more unconventional? Far too often the arrangement of furniture, the big pieces in the room, are set like they are supposed to be! And also far too often the TV is the main thing in the room and all the planning is because of where it is located. If you look closely at the photos following you can see a great possibility of an interesting lay-out. The photos are shot in Thomas O'Brien's house (I'm really found of his work). He uses the two symmetrical tables as a room divider; one for the area close to the fireplace and the other as an area for the TV. The tables are for work, pleasure and beautiful things to display. Though this room is quite big in scale, this idea can be useful is much smaller rooms too by using fewer furniture and mix them also in scale to get the interesting factor all rooms need.
